Why this practice exists

The useful middle between a template and an enterprise rollout.

Most local businesses can buy software at two extremes: a template that works until the job becomes specific, or a large platform priced and structured for a much bigger organization.

The problems in between are real: inventory that must stay accurate across locations, a booking process consuming hours, or equipment producing useful data that never reaches the people who need it.

My background runs from web platforms through embedded C and C++. Keeping both under one roof means the difficult boundary between devices, services, and interfaces belongs to someone.

Four standards that keep the project understandable before, during, and after the build.

    You talk to the person writing the code

    There is no account manager relaying messages to a contractor. The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it, so decisions stay clear and context does not get lost.

  2. 02

    Estimates include their assumptions

    Quotes state what is included, what is deliberately excluded, and which unknowns could change the figure. A later change becomes a useful conversation rather than a surprise.

  3. 03

    Something usable arrives early

    A working slice gets in front of you before a long build phase hides the wrong assumption. Feedback happens while changes are still quick and inexpensive.

    The work is built to be handed over

    You own the code, accounts, and documentation. Nothing depends on a proprietary lock-in or a license that only works while Seamonster Coding remains involved.

Useful details before the first call.

Do you only work with businesses in Fresno and Clovis?

Most clients are in Fresno, Clovis, and the surrounding Central Valley, and being local means we can meet in person when a project benefits from it. That said, the work itself is not geographically limited, and remote projects elsewhere in California and beyond are welcome.

Can you handle both a website and the software behind it?

Yes, and that combination is a large part of why the practice covers three disciplines. A booking site that has to talk to a scheduling system, or a storefront that has to reconcile with inventory, is one project rather than two vendors pointing at each other.

Do you really do embedded and firmware work as well?

Yes. Embedded C and C++, device integration, sensor telemetry, and signal processing are an ongoing part of the work, not an add-on. It is unusual for one shop in the Central Valley to cover both web and embedded, which is useful when a product has a device and a dashboard.

Can you take over a project someone else started?

Often, yes. The first step is a look at the existing code, hosting, and accounts to judge whether it is better to continue it or replace it, and you get that assessment honestly even when the answer is that the current setup is fine as it is.

Do you build on WordPress or a page builder?

Not usually. Most projects here are built with Next.js and React because it gives control over performance, structure, and the markup search engines read. If a simple content site on an existing platform genuinely serves you better, that is worth saying out loud rather than selling a rebuild.

How much does a project cost?

It depends on scope, integrations, and how much of an existing system has to keep working. Rather than publishing a price list that would be wrong for most enquiries, the scoping estimator on the portfolio page gives a realistic range, and a short conversation narrows it further.
